Isle of Axholme Family History Society We are a relatively small Society with about 260 members, and only cover the 12 Parishes of the Isle of Axholme. Originally part of Lincolnshire, we were incorporated into the new county of Humberside in 1974 but were recently reorganised yet again and returned to our home county of Lincolnshire. |

Jack in the Green - Lincs. folk band The band name comes from the traditional Lincolnshire folk hero who guards the orchards and woods of the county. Playing at various folk clubs and a regular visit to the Brandy Wharf Tavern (you may notice this is a regular theme – it’s the cider you see)..

We now (2002) have a Lodge offering accommodation - 20 large en-suite rooms, individually decorated with uninterrupted views over the Cathedral 2 miles away.
