Grimsby Borough F.C was created on the back of Louth United’s withdrawal from senior football on the 17th July. With no competition in which to compete and no base, five members of backroom staff along with the same management team of Steve Newby and Nigel Fanthorpe, and more importantly most of the original playing staff formed a working committee, with the sole aim of ensuring amateur football continued in the area.
