Egyptian Dancing Welcome to the brand new website dedicated to Egyptian Dancing. My name is Sylvia Green and I dance under the name of Selena. I have been belly dancing for nearly five years and my dearest wish is to pass on both my knowledge and passion of Egyptian Dancing to my students during lessons and workshops.

Jack in the Green - Lincs. folk band The band name comes from the traditional Lincolnshire folk hero who guards the orchards and woods of the county. Playing at various folk clubs and a regular visit to the Brandy Wharf Tavern (you may notice this is a regular theme – it’s the cider you see)..

Maria Lucas - Singer / Songwriter Maria started singing from an early age and started to compose her own music, from the age of 15. She has performance experience in all genres of music and has performed with 12 piece jazz bands, to 5 piece rock bands performing session vocals and writing in-between. She has also worked abroad, performing as a lead vocalist in an entertainment's team for a large group of hotels in Cyprus.
As well as writing and performing, Maria also plays several instruments, including Guitar and is now learning to play the Saxophone, which is one of her favourite sounding instruments.

Kenn Gordon & 1916 - Lincoln Based Irish Folk/Rock band Kenn was born in Scotland, to Scots/Irish Parents and grew up to the music of John McCormack and Kenneth McKeller. Later was he was influenced by the Beatles. Kenn learned to play guitar and by the age of 13 had his first paid gig, in the Stags Head Hotel in Golspie N.E. Scotland. That was way back in 1968 and there has not been a single week gone by since then that Kenn has not gigged. Kenn has played in a wide variety of bands over the years, not to mention working as a solo entertainer. The first band Kenn joined was a Scottish Dance Band, in the Highlands of Scotland Hector McCrae’s Scottish Dance Band. Then from there to what was probably the UK’s biggest ever, country Band, Country Sound later to be called Colorado who like Kenn were all from Golspie and surrounding areas, After just a couple of years Kenn felt he wanted to try Rock and joined up with Steamroller and had a minor chart success. But rock music was not to be his calling so once again Kenn went back to Country and Folk Music, moving back to the Highlands and forming a band called Raven. In 1985 Kenn moved down to Lincoln... |
